1. Went to my ACTUAL job and felt most aggrieved at being stuck there all day.

2. Decided I might have to look for alternative careers, perhaps ones that can help me survive in NYC and watch lots of theatre. Unfortunately, I don't think my typing skills quite cut the mustard. All of you should now feel totally free to prove what a slow-assed typist I am. :P

3. The other career I considered? Other than professional procrastinator? Icon-maker. I don't think I'd make much money from that though. I blame this batch ENTIRELY on [info]weazel_luv, OMG. She said wallpaper had to be made of the new photos of Julia's appearance last night at the Musikids benefit. Predictably, I agreed. Icons... naturally followed. Sigh. I shall post these to [info]julia_murney as part of a bigger batch when I eventually inevitably make more Julia icons. But here be the wallpaper; icons under the cut.

I couldn't decide which picture to use. So I USED THEM ALL.

4. I think the answer is that I should retire from my job and FLAIL PROFESSIONALLY. Again, not a job that will pay well. If at all. SIGH.

5. OH OH. I could track audios for other people for money! I'm good at it! And anal-retentive, ha ha. Finished the first act of BBTY 1979, and should be done with it tomorrow, hopefully! :D

6. BEDTIME. FOR SERIOUS.

1. OMG OMG OMG TWO. DAYS. TO. GO. All flaily now. All flaily.

2. And there are so many things to do still! I really have to figure out my camera, for one thing, and pick up my new glasses, and go shopping - but these are all GOOD THINGS. In two days I'll be on the plane to London! FLAIL. :D At least today I managed to get my money changed.

3. I snagged a music meme from [info]vertical_chaos, so this entry won't seem quite so bare.

4. Oh, other random thing! I'm not even done with this upcoming June trip, and have already booked another impromptu weekend trip up to Malaysia in July. WTF WHERE IS THE MONEY COMING FROM? (Oh yes, the EPIC JOB OF FAIL. At least it's good for SOMETHING.) But, YES. THE WEEKEND THE XF2 IS SUPPOSED TO OPEN WORLDWIDE. I sure hope it opens on July 25, because I'd watch it before taking off for Malaysia - but I have to go for the concert! It's only one of my favourite female Chinese pop singers (Winnie Hsin)! And she'll NEVER have a concert here, EVER, because she doesn't have a following at all in this stupid country. (More's the pity.) So I managed to find another friend as crazy as me, and we've since booked plane tickets and a hotel room and everything. The lengths I will go to be a fangirl, OMG. O_O At least we'll get to go up there and stuff our faces with the awesome char siew pork in Bukit Bintang - mmm, laden with fat and caramelised within an inch of its life - and... erm, buy illegal DVDs. *looks around furtively*

5. Edited to add: very simple album artwork I made for all my random Julia songs beneath the cut. :D Using, of course, new favourite photo.

1. Guess sleeping about 2-3 hours every night all week would catch up on me eventually. I was SO dead-tired after I came home last night that I fell asleep in front of the computer, and finally shifted to the bed because, you know, back was breaking, and slept for, like, ten hours straight. I'm actually on normal people's time now! Kind of! Waking at noon is more normal than waking up at 7pm, surely.

2. So: Jason Robert Brown concert last night. Fortunately, none of the four singers attempted to sing the title song of the concert (Dreaming Wide Awake), as that would have been just tragic. The show was... okay. Two singers out of four that I liked - one of the girls was REALLY good, had a fantastic voice and ability to switch from high to low and was a pretty good actress too. She did an impressive version of Christmas Lullaby, and fortunately she dueted with the male singer I did like on I'd Give It All For You. He was really good. Powerful and a good actor. The other female singer had a broad... range, but a voice I didn't appreciate, and the other guy. God. When he sang within his range, he wasn't too bad. But when he tried things like King of the World? I couldn't keep from rolling my eyes. Or wanting to stab them out with my recorder. During the intermission, [info]noldoparma and [info]sepulchralice both whipped out their iPods to check how the song should actually sound, LOL. So. Not going to hang on to the bootleg of this, I think. :p

3. As for I Can Do Better Than That, which is at present my favourite L5Y song - the two female singers performed it as a drunken duet, which was funny, for the most part. It worked in parts (when they were all drunk and slurring and not-quite-landing-the-notes) but not in others (when they, well, couldn't land the notes even when they weren't playing drunk). By the end they were pledging love for each other. Hee. Now that kind of reminded me of that Alice/Emily duet I Could Always Go To You.

4. I have NOTHING planned for this weekend, bah. I'd cleaned out my entire schedule in case I had to work - and I'll be doing that in a couple of hours, going to the office for a bit - but this is just retarded. I guess I'll go watch Indiana Jones by myself later tonight if nothing crops up work-wise. Because, hai, the flist has gone mad with Indy love, and even though I haven't watched the original three films - DON'T KILL ME - I still want to see Cate Blanchett as a sexy, evil Russian spy, kthx.

5. Oh god. Julia AND Brian AND David Hyde Pierce? WTH. How is it possible for three people of that much awesome to be in the same room at the same time? *sobs* And why is it that I do not live in NYC so I can see this happening! DHP doing improv! GAH!! I hold little hope that anyone will be there to audio the show, but at least the people behind the event put up videos.

6. In my ongoing attempt to impose form and structure upon my iTunes library: is there a way to edit files that appear to be edit-protected? It REALLY bugs me that I can't change the album or title info for some of the tracks so that they'll match other tracks from the same event. BUGS ME IN AN INSANE WAY. iPods are not good for obsessive-compulsive people. In that vein, more album art for Julia's two other concerts:

7. GOING TO WORK NOW ON A SATURDAY. LIFE FAILS KIND OF HARD. Edited to add, at 4.17pm: Screw that. I spent so long procrastinating that it'd be stupid to go in now and anyway I'm sleepy and can't be bothered. I shall just go shopping and watch a movie instead. :p

1.  It is near the end of another week. Which means, TWO WEEKS UNTIL I LEAVE FOR LONDON. CANNOT. WAIT. ASJDLSJFDLASKLDA.

2. Work has been made of fail, and will be made of fail for the week(s) to come. Emphatically NOT looking forward to it. Sigh.

3. Honestly I have no idea how I'm supposed to be watching all the shows I have to see. But now I MUST see I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change - since it's closing in July and it's always come highly recommended to me by a friend who shares my theatre tastes (well, mostly, she doesn't like musical theatre quite as much as I do *ahem*).

4. My iPod continues to be the death of me. I've been importing artwork all night - and have decided to lay down a couple of ground rules. Artwork only for official albums and cast recordings, which I can just copy and paste from Amazon or something, artwork only for Julia, Alice & Emily, and Idina. THAT'S IT. NO MORE. I swear it. HONEST.

5. I've been listening to Jason Robert Brown all night in anticipation of tomorrow's concert. I really hope the singers do JRB's songs credit.

6. HAI. I LOVE YOU SHERIE RENE SCOTT. In that vein, I promised [info]teh_maskmaid spammage of one of The Last Five Years, one of my favourite musicals ever - which I think I've spammed before, ha ha, but I'm spamming it AGAIN. Babbling and fangirly flail, plus Brian d'Arcy James' Christmas album, beneath the cut...

to make this love as special as it was five years ago )

7. PLEASE LET THE JRB CONCERT TOMORROW NOT BE MADE OF FAIL. And hopefully the people who sing L5Y songs don't massacre them...

8. *sobs* I hadn't realised The Drowsy Chaperone was playing in London. HOW MANY SHOWS CAN I PHYSICALLY SEE IN THE SPACE OF A WEEK?!?!

1. I think I broke the one site I found online with lyrics to Sing Happy. Apparently I've been visiting it so often that it decided to just die on me. RANDOM.

2. I'm in a ridiculously spammy mood. To wit, have some Idina goodness:

God knows she's had to sing enough dodgy versions of Defying Gravity to last her a lifetime (one word: techno), so it's nice to see her sing a really poppy, lovely version of DG. Actually, the videos from this event are pretty awesome. She breaks her mike stand in Better To Have Loved, bwahaha!

3. Iconage-wise, I am finally at Act II of The Wild Party. Which means I'm just about due to icon Idina in Life of the Party. I'm hoping this won't result in 2,332 icons.

4. Julia Murney singing She Goes - practically a religious experience in itself, y/y?

5. I have started making album art for my iPod. I am DEAD. THERE IS NO TURNING BACK. I KNOW THIS. Anyway. If anyone happens to want very simple but perfectly functional cover art for Birdland 2006 and Joe's Pub 2003...

6. I am a little bit obsessed with The Last Five Years recently. I was reading this thread on broadwayworld.com and someone mentioned that they'd put the entire musical the right way around in their playlists, just to listen to it all the way through in chronological order. Unfortunately, this involves me cutting up my versions of "Goodbye Until Tomorrow/I Could Never Rescue You", which upsets me greatly. I'll probably end up doing it at some point, though, just so I can make that playlist. Fingers and toes and everything crossed that the Jason Robert Brown concert I'm going for on Friday will be good. And that whoever sings I Can Do Better Than That - if someone sings it - can belt the crap out of that song the way Sherie, Julia and Lauren do...

7. Edited to add: No one is allowed to marry Brian d'Arcy James except me. NO ONE. I just listened to him singing Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas from his Christmas album. I LOVE HIM. AND HIS VOICE. And oh god, now I am actually looking forward to Shrek on Broadway. Even though it could very very well be dire (I am SO not optimistic that it'll be any good), at least it's him, and Sutton, and LIVE. ASKLDJADJLSA.

1. Let's hope not - but work is crazy at this point, and I only anticipate it getting CRAZIER. So take this post as a warning that I might very well be going on a mini-hiatus over the next few weeks. I left work AFTER MIDNIGHT OMG, and this is what I imagine things will be like for days weeks to come. So I'll try to be around and to flail when I have the energy. But if I disappear, you'll know why too. :(

2. At least I have one last day of freedom tomorrow - my sister is going back to Australia on Friday *sadface*, so I begged for Thursday off to spend time with her. Once those 24 hours are up, however, so will be my life as I've known it. (Actually, all I do is work if I'm not flailing, so I don't know how that's different, except now I'll stay at work 15-2,348 hours instead of 12. WTF RITE.)

3. Spam, flailage and love will be appreciated in the meantime. ;)

4. OMG, so I love [info]yuki_onna90, right? Because she wrote RPFic - and I don't read RPFic or write it - and yet she made me want to flail from the loveliness of it all. Everyone, go read they say it's wonderful now, because that's exactly what it is. If you need more details (WHY? JUST GO AND READ), this RPF is centred on two of the sexiest people who have graced this planet EVAR - Katharine Hepburn (still my favourite actress of all time) and Cary Grant (swoooooooooooooooooooooooon). And seriously, LJ-Kate just wrote SO MUCH LOVELY. As a result, I'm rewarding her with pic-spammage! If you want PROOF OF THE GORGEOUS, please to be clicking on the cut below...

5. So while I was trawling through my picture folders, I stumbled on my old fanart folder. Like, seriously, stuff from six or seven years ago. They're sooooo not great (I think I still do better with words than pictures), but I had to share some of them because they bring back so many memories and prove how dorkily obsessive I used to be. Especially now that I'm flailing over the same things again. So in the next cut, there be colourisations of old photos (Kate/Cary, FRANKIE OL' BLUE EYES OMG, and who else loved Moulin Rouge!?), a West Wing wallpaper (THE MEN OF THE WW ARE MADE OF YUM), and this XF collage that's dodgy but ridiculously ridiculously SHIPPY. Hee.

6. Wow. That amount of flailage is quite exhausting. But there's always room for more! GO ICON-SPAM AT [info]my_vicodin! Because we all need a little randomness to cheer us up after David Shore said they're junking the second half of Season 4, wtf. They'd better give us some good STORY when they start production again. LISA. GO HAMMER AT HIS DOOR AND DO YOUR THANG.

7. I SHOULD SLEEP. I am so glad I have tomorrow off. So glad
