Oh. God.
This episode was... I can't even capslock flail about it. I mean, everything I feel and say you can probably assume is in the equivalent of capslock? But this was such a... smart, heartbreakingly well-written and acted episode, exploring so many themes and relationships and just everything that... capslock doesn't do it justice, somehow. Capslock is for FLAIL. This episode deserves some serious respect.

To wit:

So. I loved that. Even if there was no capslock. The lack of capslock should be an indication of how much I enjoyed it, really, and how much it was just an experience. I love this show, and the writers, and the cast. I hate that it's the end of the season, but at least it's going out with a real bang. Lots to look forward to over a looong summer hiatus. Sigh!

Non House-related dorkiness:
Anyway. The reason I got to the recap so late? I was messing around, predictably, with my new iPod. OH GOD. You know what? iPods are EVIL for people who have anal-retentive, obsessive-compulsive tendencies. I am supremely ANNOYED by the way my music looks at points, so I must reorganise and re-tag songs and albums and EVERYTHING. This is going to be a HUGE PROJECT, OMG. FAIL FAIL. Not to mention the fact that I've discovered the joy of having pretty album art. I will emphatically NOT allow myself to make art for every single bootleg I have. WILL NOT. But I sense cover arts are in the future for Julia's concerts at least. *ahem* Also? I NOW HAVE THE WILD PARTY ON MY IPOD. I CAN WATCH JULIA SINGING HER LUNGS OUT AT ME PRETTY MUCH ANYTIME I WANT, KTHX. This is awesome.

What's not so awesome? Going to bed at 4.30am on a weekday. FECK. I'm going to be even more retarded at work than usual...

Good thing it's a public holiday tomorrow and all I have to do is go visiting and eat a lot of crap - if I can do that and still breathe, that is. I've been coughing non-stop for the last five hours, which is awful and kind of painful and really annoying. I THOUGHT I WAS ON THE WAY TO BEING FIXED ALREADY, WTF.

Anyway. Pardon the digression. HOUSE EPISODE FLAILAGE TIME. I can just imagine the amount of squee and flailage that must be occurring in the House/Wilson fandom right about now...

And finally, to bed. It's almost 6.30am. Good thing I don't have to work, though I DO have to go out and be semi-sociable tomorrow and be nice to people. I get money in return for doing so, though. Guess things could be worse then. ;)

At the rate I am going I am never ever ever ever going to bed. But for an episode of House this kickass amazing?! I'd give up sleep and sanity ANYDAY. I have since done my pic-spam duty at [info]my_vicodin and can now flail about this episode as it deserves. *happyface*

And before I go to bed: I TOTALLY NEED TO GO TO CALIFORNIA IN OCTOBER 2008 FOR THE HOUSE CONVENTION. IT WILL BE THE BEST CRACK EVER. I WOULD DIE FROM FLAIL. HUGH LAURIE IS SUPPOSED TO ATTEND. I MIGHT DIE. DIE. IF LISA ALSO ATTENDS, I AM GOING. GOING, I TELL YOU. EVEN IF I HAVE NO TIME, NO MONEY, NO NOTHING. I WILL GET THERE. WHO WILL JOIN ME IN MY INSANITY?

IT'S 5AM. I AM OFFICIALLY CLINICALLY INSANE.

*FLAILS EVERYWHERE*
Um. I have serious things to say. I do. BUT. *FLAILS SOME MORE* I'm bummed that this is the last new episode 'til January, but man. We got four House/Cuddy scenes of win. I AM GOOD. I AM HAPPY. Flailage ensues, in epic amounts.

THIS IS IN NO WAY AT ALL DIAL-UP FRIENDLY, NO-SIREE. I went... um, rather crazy with the capping, yes I did. LE WAS SO CUTE. How could I resist?! Enter at your own risk! ;)

Let's talk House/Cuddy. Good. GOD. SO MUCH LOVE THIS EPISODE.

And clearly there are FOUR photo stories this week, but you should be able to tell by now that they're not in chronological order, since I just had to put the next two scenes together, because, OMG, SO MUCH FLAILY LOVE. The TRUST. The FLIRTING. The EYESEX. And, also, the CUTENESS:

MAN OH MAN. I think I went a LITTLE over the top there with the pic-spamming. *ahem* But how could I resist?!?!? Seriously?!?!
Anyway. I noticed a few other things in the episode that I'll probably pic-spam in a separate post, just because it's pretty random. For now though, I MUST go to bed. Pat yourself on the back if you made it all the way to the end!! ;)

HEE. So many gigglesome moments in this episode, for serious. Review first, as usual, then ridiculously obsessive pic-spam to follow. (MMMM, House/Cuddy scene of GORGEOUS and much hilarity...

Behold - the thong of LISA CUDDY. Use its power wisely, my friends.

So. There was totally NOT ENOUGH CUDDY in the episode. We needed a final scene to resolve the whole panty-napping thing. I think this requires FIC. Still, less Cuddy screentime doesn't mean I couldn't spam the hell out of the one scene between her and House though, because, OMG, look at this - PROOF OF WIN.

Eyes up, House! It's like they're maaaagneeeetiiiiicaaaaaaally drawn to her butt. Hee.

And thanks to [info]crumpled_up for pointing this out to me:

Click for the ridiculously detailed photo story and the ZOOM ON CUDDY'S ASS.

Um. I clearly got ALL KINDS of carried away with that scene. It lasted like, thirty seconds or something. My pic spam makes it look like it lasted for weeks. Heh. Think of all the hot table sexings House and Cuddy could carry out in weeks!

Bring on next week.

Edited to add: O. M. G. The new episode clip starring House/Cuddy for 4x09 is up at the Fox.com/house site. *keyboards* aosafjwoetjwlsaerwqpkdlkngs! They. Are. Adorable. And Bantery. AND SO MUCH LOVE. Aww. I like this blushing theme between the two of them. Can't wait for new episode ALREADY! ;)

Seriously. I didn't think it was possible for me to adore LE more. But she proves to me that I am a presumptuous idiot for assuming that, by giving one of her best House-related interviews EVER. I know everyone and their pet chicken has dorked out over the interview already, but I had to do so too, if only to keep a record of the happy lovely interview for myself in my LJ. *happy sigh*

How could they call an episode Ugly when it features so much pretty, especially of the Lisa Edelstein variety? I mean, LE was rocking some serious black-and-white, my friends. I have random caps of her from the episode just because she made me go all slack-jawed in wonder at her Unbelievable Gorgeousness.

Bear in mind before embarking upon this review/pic-spam, people: This is SO not dial-up friendly because the H/C scenes this week rocked SO HARD.

I don't even know why I pretend to have intelligent thoughts anymore. Me, I just want to get to the pretty.

Two absolutely massive H/C photo-stories this time. Because I'm so pleased with the amount of Cuddy and H/C screentime we got this episode. Yup yup. And that last scene?! Talk. About. SQUEEAGE.

And I'm done. Kudos to you if you stuck it out this far. Gah. SO MUCH HAPPY from this episode.

So, I gather a lot of people didn't like this episode? That's what my flist suggests, anyway. Hmmm. I think I must just be ridiculously easy to please or something. I was as fascinated by the show as I've always been, though, of course, I'd always ALWAYS want more Cuddy. (Only 28 caps this episode as opposed to 52 last!) Yes, the show is still cheery and light, and there's no angst on the horizon - witness all the brazenly dodgy flirting on House's part, heh - but it was a rollicking good ride. Just. More. Cuddy. Please.

HOUSE AND CUDDY ARE ALWAYS MADE OF WIN. This is a fact, however small their scenes together are.

And, finally. I've also seen the trailer for House 4x07. OH MAN. I think I take back all my griping about the lack of angstiness. I've always wondered what would happen if the House writing team, already friggin' brilliant as is, gives itself more free rein and finds insanely crazy, smart ways to explore and change the show's tried-and-true set-up (identify a POTW who's dying fast, come close to killing him quicker than he'd have died, at least six times, and miraculously fixing him at the end, unless he's a her with a bad bra and Foreman didn't catch that). So since this season is evidently the Season of the Freewheeling, they've officially hit (approximately) Season 6/7 of the X-Files, when they got to mess around with the formula but have crazy amounts of fun doing it. The XF has already done something similar (X-Cops leaps to mind, and it's brilliant), but I can't WAIT to see the House team go nuts and stretch themselves all over and past an already very creative map. WAHEY!!!

I love this show I do.

Oh MAN, I am SO GLAD I took the half-day off from work today, which means I could grab the latest House episode much earlier than I normally would. It's not even 11pm and I'm all ready with caps for the IMMENSE AMOUNT OF SQUEE-AGE THAT WILL ENSUE. I swear, if you're a House/Cuddy shipper? There's just so so so MUCH in this episode to chew over and cuddle happily to oneself. For serious. I'll try to give SOME form of intelligent thought to the rest of the ep, but man. This was all about the sex we're not seeing onscreen. Heh.

For you impatient people who can't be bothered with reading the rest of my thoughts on the episode (totally understandable, man!), HOW CUTE WERE HOUSE AND CUDDY?! OMFG OMFG! The anvils are back, and I'm so glad. XD SO MUCH FLAILING AHEAD. YOU BE WARNED.

SO SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW. Off to rewatch scenes until my computer groans in protest. Oh joy. JOY!

Sigh, always late to the party - but better late than never, yes? Another fun episode - I'm still yearning for more angst and development of the characters I already love (House, Cuddy, maybe Wilson, maybe Chase), but I am enjoying the Survivor aspect of the show. Onward to the dorkiness:

Dude. That was amazingly long. And I haven't even hit the photo essay yet. Heh. My love for this show clearly knows no bounds. ;)

That really WAS worryingly long and detailed. Congratulations if you stuck it out this far. Imagine what it's going to be like next week, which looks set to be quite Cuddy-heavy from the promos... god help me (and you guys!) then!

Sigh, OMG. The House love continues - so far, the weakest episode of the season, but considering how awesome the first two were? Doesn't mean much, at all.

I think I'm going to make a tradition out of photo-essays for my favourite House/Cuddy scenes in all the episodes. It makes me happy to cap all the pretty. We had a couple of great scenes this episode!
