3. GOOD THING MY FANDOMS MAKE UP FOR THE LOUSY. OMG seriously there has been SOOO much random lollerskating/random flailworthiness involved in my fandoms over the last couple of days:

a. It was just Meryl's 60th birthday on June 22! :) I missed it, because I suck big time, but girlie_girl_23 didn't and her lovely tribute is here.

b. Next To Normal: The Abridged Script <-- omg I howled laughing at this, especially the way ALICE RIPLEY always and only refers to herself in the third person as ALICE RIPLEY, and Bobby, poor guy. *weeps*

c. Random thought: Alice is actual going to be bereft when her FB account reaches its maximum number of users, isn't she...!? And that's coming up soon, she just needs, like, 2,000 more people...

d. Official site for Julia's upcoming show - the Cy Coleman revue. She is looking classy. David's goatee, on the other hand, amuses me far more than it really should. So who's going to see this, other than Not Me?

e. OMG the Wonderettes universe is going to expand! - I swear I flailed when I got that google alert: now we get the story from the point of view of the Crooning Crabcakes! I'm hoping it includes - other than Billy Ray - Johnny and Richie as well, so there'll be shout-outs to my Wonderettes. ♥

f. And as a perfect example of how my life is full of random lollerskaty flail, guess what show's coming to Singapore in August? CLEARLY I would rather be watching Beth in this show in Aspen (OH GOD I WANT TO GO SO BADLY), but I guess I can make do with a local production of Spelling Bee. SO RANDOM A COINCIDENCE, AMIRITE?? It's the last show I thought would get a run here, just because it's not well-known at all (usually we get Phantom or Les Miz or some such well-worn chestnut of a show, ad nauseum).

g. Also, I got this comment on one of my random House!flail posts and was ridiculously amused. I can't decide if poster was being sarcastic, LOL.

4. Also, I think I am legit insane. Today I decided to embark on a flail project of complete insanity. OMG. Details... at some later point. XD BUT THE PROSPECT OF IT EXCITES ME.

5. How is it that I am wide awake NOW, when I am flailing, but will be half-dead when I'm at work, trying to work? Urgh. I PROMISE TO CATCH UP ON COMMENTS SOMETIME IN THIS MILLENNIUM.

1. OMIGOD. As noldoparma and I were discussing, we are returning to our Chinese pop roots and fandom at EXACTLY the right time. EXACTLY. Emil Chau. EMIL CHAU. ♥ Has a couple of new singles, both kind of out TODAY, and they made my brain explode. There's this gorgeous, wu xia-tinged new song, 大城之光 Da Cheng Zhi Guang, and it makes me RIDICULOUSLY HAPPY. Then also, his new band, the one he formed with three other INCREDIBLY talented singer-songwriters, released their first trippy single today. EMIL RAPS. Like, RAPS. *weeps* And he wrote the harmonisation for the entire song and I'm IN LOVE WITH IT. Also, Superband might be staging a concert in Taiwan in March. YEAH, GUESS I'M GOING TO TAIWAN IN MARCH.

2. I guess I'm never quitting my job of fail. Not at the rate my fandoms are forcing me to rack up miles on, like, a million different airlines. :P (Don't even remind me of the possibly insane plan to return to NYC, AGAIN, in May so I can see all the new shows if Broadway hasn't imploded into itself by then.)

4. One last thing - girlie_girl_23 was incredibly amazing, and gave me access to some Mamma Mia CRACK that isn't on the DVD. (FAIL, DVD.) At least, not on the non-Walmart version of the DVD. 5. Bedtime for real. I had the equivalent of six hours of useless meetings at work today. I don't ever want to go back, not that I'm doing real work anymore these days. But I have to. Bah.

1. Oh god, I was the laziest bastard at work EVER today. I don't even KNOW what I was doing. I mean, I read everything I had to and am all caught up from the weekend, which is awesome. But I'm pretty sure I spent at least three hours ASLEEP. FAIL. Not to mention the time I spent spazzing online. You know, THIS is why I still leave work at 10pm even when there isn't work to do. Because I FAIL IN AN EPIC WAY.

2. And I was lazy. I figured I could go for yoga, or a swim, and did none of those things. Instead, I had potato chips and cookies for dinner. WHAT IS THAT. ARGH. Although Sunday's yoga did break me a bit - I'm achier than I have been for a while, possibly because I slacked off on yoga a bit last week. Boo.

3. Man, I am a dork and love tracking, but this Lee Hom concert is loooong. (Also, full of squealing fangirls.) I always forget how spoiled we are by Chinese pop musicians. Their concerts last anything from 2.5 to 3.5 hours! When Gwen Stefani came a few months (was it a year?) ago, and did an eighty-minute set, I was all, like, what is UP with your faily lack of stamina, OMG. :P

4. Eek. While my computer was down, I FAILED and missed out on birthdays! So, happy belated birthdays to girlie_girl_23 and fiddlings!! (BTW, TIFF: watch this video if you haven't already. I LOVE IT when the reporter right at the end tells Meryl she looks 25 and she looks utterly shocked and then goes, "You're so far in the back though!!")

7. P.S. does it make me dorky that I'm thinking of taking the day off on Wednesday so I can watch the US presidential election live? I did that throughout the night back in university for the 2000 election - one of the most fun dork-nights of my life EVER, since I stayed up literally all night in the junior common room in my college and then went straight for an American politics lecture completely ABUZZ with the non-results of the Bush/Gore election and what it all MEANT. And I watched the 2006 midterms from my cubicle (the TV used to be right in front of me). I don't even know WHERE the tv is now that we've moved offices. So yeah. Big dork here was thinking of taking the day off. I DO have to take my car in for servicing too, so I'm not being UTTERLY NERDY here. Still... am a dork. I should... embrace this, yeah?
